hmmmmmm? try thinking about the coincidence here. (and realize that -=MACK=- has no bones about hiring merc strike teams)- -=MACK=- has to be jealous of all the umec headlines
- Sancho forgets the adage "Loose lips sinks ships"
- -=MACK=- gets wind of Sancho's storyline and decides to hire Therapists to deal with the competition
- -=MACK=- hires SpaceRangers to provide the "cover story" and escort to avoid suspicions by anyone but the truly paranoid
- Even paranoids have enemies
The proof in the pudding is when UMEC tries to join in we get snubbed by -=MACK=-
IF THAT HAPPENS, THEN THE ABOVE SPECULATION IS TRUE |

Really? I don't suppose i'll get more information than that tease, right?
Are you cooperating on a joint mission after we get the contract done? Are we going to be independent? Are we in talks with OctConfed and is an agreement to use OP as a staging point going to be a story, or do we just "Roleplay" it on the fly?? Do we get any hints about where your "Amananth FM" concept is heading, or have you dropped the idea after getting ganked by Therapists??
Look, the reason i'm pushing for a little more information is if we don't have our hearts set on doing this Amananth FM, then the need for strong treaties with OctConfederation loses it's priority. (and we can shift resources elsewhere to say, OEC or IHS...or even just letting Rainy13 rest for a bit)
We're a team, and we like working to support each other. But, wasting effort on a low priority issue doesn't make much sense. |

MF, I didn't realize anyone had appointed me UMEC's chief GM, or chief of creating projects. I'm not command staff. I'm Sancho.
I drove some projects that interested me personally. Amananth I've always been only warm on due to the real problems of moving large quantities of commods (and some pretty heavy) through unreg.
Also, I don't think UMEC needs to, or should, try to drive every neutral FM in game. leave some "glory" and work for others.
I think we should occasionally (once every two weeks, or so) choose one project and make a real group effort of it.
You're talking a fast game here... how many loads have you hauled? How many Hyp FM missions did you run (or Aman, for that matter?) How many loads did you haul on the current large equipment contract?
You do a huge amount on the boards, you scout, you gather info, all good and needed functions, but when it comes to the "group projects," I haven't seen much of you except here agitating for someone else to do something.
Stop agitating and just do it if you want it done.
Leadership comes from getting out front, in this as in those other things. Pushing just makes you the horse behind the cart.

*claps for sancho" nice post.
heres my 2 cents. our group projects arent mainly to build the building in the sector. or kill the 200 flux in 2 days. there main purpose is to promote and instill team work in our squad. that is what a squad is, it is a TEAM. i am proud to be a part if this Team (family). we may have our differences (sp), but in the end we come together.

I know I'm not too much of a team player either. I didn't do a single load for the contract. I'm not helping with the Amananth mission. And escort duty gets tedious quick.
Yet I tell ya - when I heard a squadmate was under attack, I raced there and drove off the scout that had attacked. I almost armored him - but he kept running. I made him run away.
*THEN* I felt like a teammate. I had my place. I'll continue to broker deals, and help the Defense Wing, and post, and such. That's important stuff too. I do make sure not to do one thing:
I don't bitch about things I can't change (pointless), but instead find things to enjoy and praise about then... and for the things I *can* change, I bloody well do change them!
Bitching and moaning gets old. |

*blink* Don't stop intel on my account. As Self-appointed Diplomatics officer, I need your words more than anyone. You've saved my butt and clarified oodles of stuff, Muffy. Thank you.
Just don't bitch and moan. I get enough of that from my schoolteacher roommate  |
