That truescale mod is sweet - im playing through HW again with it. *brrr*

Of course - just to be different I decided to scrap my salvage corvettes and just go with ships I made. DAMN THE KUSHAN ION BEAM FRIGATES ARE USELESS. They nose right up to the enemy cap ship theyre meant to be shooting - if it so much as budges I lose a few frigates due to collisions! Argh. Normally I have a 3x3 wall of multibeam frigates on evasive so they break formation when they get close (but the wall keeps them apart enough to avoid shooting each other in the arse). I have no idea what formation or tactics I should use normal ion beam frigates on. useless things!

offtopic :strat:
no formation. no tactics. no guard this or that. just you, your mouse, and "combat move" (yes combat move)
cap ships don't have bonuses to move/guns from formation/tactics like strike craft do...BUT, what they do have they make up for the ability to "face" their target and execute a movement order while turning to track previous target.
I'm not sure, but i heard there's a way to make an actually formation (f5-10) turn individual ships instead of all together using a certain tactic (f2-4)...but i've never really bothered testing

mmmmmmmm...seems as though there's a forum for HW2 info on Relicnews forums. (posted last month)

'press-scans'?

I think not. Those where taken the day that PC Gamer came out, with my canon digital camera, on the futon behind where i am sitting right now, for the insatiable folks at the #homeworld IRC channel.

that glare was caused by the light i used... the flash washed it out, no flash made it way too dark. sorry about that. i think someone has better scanned images out there, if you are interested.

they also happen to be at least 3 months old.

me. press. haha.
