i tryed every vmware version i could get up to the 4.0 beta.
i tryed win2k and win98
i tryed dx 8.0, 8.1 and 9.0
both full and no hardware-acceleration in display-propertys

8.0a should be fine, i ran jg all the time with 8.0a until i upgraded to 9.0 for freelancer ...

i use win2k, if i remember right 8.1 is the same as 8.0a on 2k...

or you mean just with vmware? ...

now i have vmware 3.2.0 and run win2ksp3, vmwatetools and dx8.0a on it. jg wont start. :(

i just aquired a "demo" of moo3 ... the graphic is so crappy, i mean is it optimezed for 640x480 pixels?

it seems there it quite some depth in controling planets and those taskforces, but i couldnt ...
